Ok i have the Xecuter2.4981 bios file which contains 4981.06_256k file and 4981.67_256k file.

First question is which file do i use to make the bios.bin file with the Xecuter 2.3 lite plus?

I have 2 different programs to actually make the bios.bin file... XBTOOL and X2 Bios Manager v2.1. Which program do you recommend to create the bios.bin file with?

I know that both of the files (4981.06_256k and 4981.67_256k) that came with the 4981 bios are 256k. My main worry is which file do i use AND how big do i make the bios... 512k or 1MB? Once again i am using a an Xecuter 2.3 Lite PLUS. This is one thing that i dont want to mess up because i know its hard to reflash your bios if you dont have a programmer.

I also have recently read about the cromwell 1.8/1.26a bios. I know once the xbox mod is installed and enabled, it will boot to the cromwell bios screen. I have read that if you have the cromwell 1.8/1.26a bios, it wont take my Xecuter 4981 bios. Is this true?

If it wont take my bios.bin file derived from the 4981 bios, i have read that i can flash to a newer version of the cromwell bios using team xecuters Xecuter_FlashBIOS_228 bios file? This sound right to you guys? I assume once i upgrade to this cromwell based Xcuter_FlashBIOS_228, i can then put in my 4981 bios to flash properly.

Thanks for all the help guys. These forums are very informative.

well the 2,3lite+ chip has 2 banks that add up to 1 meg. so that leaves just enough for two flashes of 512k file on each bank. so flahs it with a 512k bios. the .06 and .67 are for the hard drive partition one is for a large F partion (.06) and the other(.67) is for equal 137 gigs on f then the rest on G or something like that.
