    I concur who is rock?
Sorry to be pedantic, but it should read "Rocks' bitch", not "Rock's bitch". The apostrophe is in the wrong place. After the S denotes the possessive, before the S denotes Rock is. Rock's is an abbreviation for "Rock is".
I am really sorry for picking you up on your grammar.
I have far too much time on my hands!!

Hey I think that geestar20 left AD? =S If so, then we've lost a good member. Thats another thing thats fucked up, AD has gone slowly downhill since I was here. No offense to the site or anything, I love AfterDawn, but it was much better when I first came here, when Dela was active and a lot of the old members. Too many flames and repeated questions now. Oh well, guess its expected on a site that has become so huge.

I would have thought that new people asking the same questions was what it was all about. It is how I have learned. I guess that peoples lives change, different priorities etc. It is sad, but it is just natural progress.
I guess if things never changed then we would still be in caves.
If we lose a good member, then we lose him/her. There are lots of other new members who contribute loads to this site.
I have to admit, sometimes I can't be bothered to answer some questions. This is as they are repeated lots like you say. I wish people would take time out & do a bit of research on the site before asking what I would deem a simple & well covered subject.
I have been on this forum for nearly a year now, & my visits vary from time to time.
Recently it is all I do on a night (I have no life!). In a while I may give it a miss, then I will return with new vigour.
I used to spend time talking to DrChips. Due to work commitments, he cannot attend, as it were.
It is a shame, but again, he may return in the future. Natural progress, if we stand still we go nowhere.
Just a few thoughts on the matter.

It's evolution. Things change, and perfect never stays for long. People come and go, but AfterDawn will always remain the same, as least I hope so. Thing is though, there ARE a lot of "kthxbai spammers" who just make an account and well... "kthxbai spam!" without even looking at stickies. Usually, on a good day, I don't help them. On a bad day though... I flame them! n_n

I'm new and I came here to learn about ps2. I also enjoyed this thread its my first personal thread besides a ps2. I always search becuase I might get my info faster the way I look at it is most of the drive by posters are young and they don't know better, so for those who are mature I say keep on truckin and rockin in the free world!

    negative.

You know what fusk'n pisses me off, i'll fusk'n tell you, this fat man they call "Santa" this fusk'n guy gets paid to hear all these kids hopes and dreams and does he deleiver...NO. This fusk'n guy "Santa" gets all the damn credit for the shit he doesn't do, its the parents (mom or dad) that should get the credit.
I work my ass off all fusk'n year to get them (my kids) what they want and I feel that I should get some thanks, but no, all i get is grief cause I can't take to them to go see "Santa" cause i have to work to get them what they want for Christmas. And if i don't take them (my kids) to go see "Santa" then they won't get what they want and im the bad guy.

Well thats a hell of a post. He's right about Santa getting the credit and people better not flame him for that, because Christmas wreaks hell on parents. It's just good to remember that you're doing it for your kids and that when they wake up Christmas morning and see presents from Santa, their faces light up and they're really happy. It shouldn't matter that much to you WHO or WHAT makes your children happy, unless its harmful to them-just that they are content. Just my 2 cents...good luck with your Christmas stress geestar and Merry Christmas to you all.

My kids are gonna know from the start Santa ain't real :D
I don't like liying to kids its not positive because when they find out they end up crying, american hypocrasy needs to die we are passive observers but we never take the steps needed for a better anything. Until something happens to us and santa is 1 of those examples. merry x-mas and pracrice what you preach thats what I'm working on.

the whole underlying point of letting kids believe in Santa is to give them hope, or, i should say the ability to hope. it's not as much about presents or the joy some psychos get from breakings kids' hearts over the truth when they're 7 or 8, but it's about giving children the ability to hope and wish and dream...those abilities are what bring about the little good mankind creates. those few wonders we are responsible for are because of the few who dared to dream...betcha 50 bucks many of them believed lil' ol' saint nick was coming down their chimneys as kids... :)

Toiletman, don't listen to these people. They are only jealous! I believe in Father Christmas. He got me some chocolate & a rather unusual kind of ashtray from the biggeddy, biggeddy bong shop!
How the hell did he know what I wanted?
