seems very wierd that our friends in the US can talk about real guns with such passion, like we talk about, say, football or something.. im sure if i were that passionate 'bout my gun (if i had one) i would have the local constabulary kicking my door off at 5am one morning.. each to there own i suppose. Id say we normally associate guns in the UK with gangsters & general nutters.. shame, that, cos id love one.. [bold]GET ORF MY LAAAAND![/bold] hehe
Your friends in U.S.? i live in The Netherlands dude, and i have relatives in the U.K. that have gun permits...Your point exactly?
I agree. There is a store near the city I live called "Guns for Good Guys" That means bad guys can pretend there good guys and get there guns. The only people who should have guns are the police officers or soldiers.
If you like it that way you can move to China, Russia or North Korea. Our Founding Fathers put the Second Amendment in there for a reason.
DOGBOT AND STITCH read this : Amendment II - Right to bear arms. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note [bold]A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.[/bold] what part dont you get guys
@Daniel_G I didnt mean i had personal 'friends' in the US, just referring to our fellow US-based aD'ers.. i feel part of this community so i refer to people here as friends. i must apologise, i thought you were American due to your knowledge of guns & stuff, probably a bit of stereotyping there. maybe i should go read the whole thread again. My point is that i dont know any1 with a gun or a permit, where i'm from. seems to me people with guns fall into 4 categories in the UK, farmers, the aristocracy, gangsters & occasionally (like after 7/7), the police. Thats just my opinion, in my experience.
I got the whole thing about the "friends in the us" on my own, that's why I replied with where i live dude... The apology is unnecessary though, i AM an american, i just moved to the little cannabis loving country across the channel
@ BigpantZ : that's what i was thinking too, like "Lacrosse, WTF is that?" i looked it up on google, it looks, well... Strange, to say the least...
thats what i was tryin 2say, WTF? i can vaguely remember one of the characters from American Pie being in the school lacrosse team? cant remember which one. im going for a google.
yes, weird.. i like this bit - ..I wouldnt fancy that hard-wood ball hitting me in the knackers.. ..ouch.. LOL (i know, that was how it was played in the 1700's, prolly v. different today)
wow where r u from if u havent heard of lacrosse? any way my favorite sport is paint ball (to play) oh and profesinal sword play (ive never participated so to watch)
Definitely shooting. I'll put my Springfield Armory V12 45 acp right up there with my series 70 gold cup. I also have alot of fun with my model 66 from the S+W custom shop. Check out some of my pics of my babies on my profile page! Ignore the ones of me though, It's been a REALLY bad year! Hope all my friends here have an excellent holiday season!
Without a doubt it would be Horseball........just kidding. Figured I'd send a couple people googling Soccer to watch. Lawn/table tennis to play.
