Whats the best the best format for playing video on a website

    I have animations and home vids ect. that i want play over my web site and want to know what format i should use.

    If you can work with flash, i suggest flash :D

    Thanx. I downloaded Riva FLV encoder and converted my vids to flash but i cant get them to work with frontpage. do i have to get a plugin or somthing? any help would great.

    If your worried about file size than something like Windows Media Video (WMV), Quicktime or Real Media would be good. Any type streaming format should be good enough but WMV would probably be what the most people could use.

    PLEASE USE QUICKTIME !!!

    In fact, I'm in the process of looking for advanced art video animations by college students or professionals (who use Quicktime only). I just don't have the patience to wade through long downloading times.

    If any of you people (who are really tuned-in to art video) know of a site where lots of artistic videos (using Quicktime only) can be found.......please let me know !!! My thread is located in the "GENERAL DISCUSSION (all other topics)" area here. THANKS !!
