@The harddrive limit question. I think that the sky is the limit. But you shouldn't really go any over a 1Tb hard drive. hehehe

Yeah, I have 1-2 years left of school. I could finish this year if I took 19 credits each semester, but I do not think I have the motivation for that.

Well the word "wedding" hasn't popped up yet for my girlfriend and I, but we have been going together for 4 years so I'm thinking about popping the question sometime soon.

Good luck w/ you and your fiance!

P.S. Make sure to have open bar for atleast an hour at your wedding :) And then make sure to invite me as I'm always cool w/ free alcohol since I'm a poor college kid and all...

Oh yeah, I hear you on the poor college kid thing, its really going to hurt having to pay off all of my loans in a couple of months!

Getting a little off-topic eh PimpDawg & deezp1? Hehe anyway, to contribute to the original question. Having 400GB is dangerous, and I found it out the hard way the first time when I only partitioned F to get all. When I got close to 300GB (about 90GB of free space left), the thing crashed and I ended up losing everything. But now I set it to first 137GB for F and the rest for G, everything's been working great.

    yeah a little. lol

Like I said before, I wont go above 250 because of problems I had with 300gb hdds. I filled up my 250 with little problems and my friend didnt have problems with his 300 until he went over about 275

Well the rule of thumb is, if it's 250GB or less then you can set it to F gets all. If it's more than 250GB, then partition it between F & G for safety.

my friend who had the 300 had it partitioned between F & G (137 to F and the rest to G), but still had problems. I think the Xbox just cant handle the size.

That's strange, I have 2x400GB Seagate HDDs and I set them both between F&G, no problem there. I have used up the first 400GB, have about 50MB left on F and 10MB on G. The second 400GB has about 12GB left so I'm looking for another 400GB at the moment.

If I were you I'd be careful about the 300GB one. How did you partition it? All F or split between F & G?

    Hey all,

I originally purchased a 160 GB HD for my XBOX, and when I put it in, i used the Slayers CD to do all the work for me (I'm not an expert and didn't wanna mess anything up).

The slayers CD only detected up to 137 GB of it, and partitioned it into the usual F, G, etc etc drives.

I was wondering: is there any way to get the rest of the space on the HD to be able to use without having to erase everything from it? And keep in mind that I'm not an xbox expert like you guys, so try to keep it simple :)

    Thanks for the help

in order to utilize the rest of the drive you need to reflash your chip to enable it to read the rest.

What BIOS are you using? Try to update your BIOS first. Secondly, if it's already partitioned between F & G and you can only see 137GB instead of the 150GB+, then go in to Evox settings and enable G drive. Save, exit, reboot.
