Hi boss During my many years of lurking I have acquired 3 wives 5 children 16 grandchildren 1 great grandchild And to many I'm a grumpy old git But to me I'm perfect lol
Well that's interesting.. latest firefox breaks the site.. Luckily I have palemoon.. lol still alive..
I always like when people pull up photos from a decade ago.. summer 2011.. seems like a different world.
Sometimes you just have to post. I used to create threads of interest with the hope of opening a discussion, and it generally worked. When Google spider bots crawl websites they're always looking for new content inside a site. When that content is recent it gets posted. Then people who are searching for something similar come across it and that pulls them to the forum. Right now there are over 450 guests which are probably search engine crawlers.
Very interesting. I never heard of crawlers. Now that I've looked up what they do, there must be a huge number of servers to store all the information they collect.
Most of them are Google bots but they are also from Yahoo/Bing, Duckduckgo, and any number of foreign search engines. Sometimes their traffic can overwhelm smaller sites so you try to dissuade them from checking certain pointless areas of your site, or to block them altogether if there's no benefit by creating a text file, renaming it robots.txt, and then writing orders in the file for their behaviors. Once you're done you upload it to the sites root directory. If you're lazy like me you can go online and find a list for bot behavior and copy it to a file. For Example you can allow or disallow. User-agent: Googlebot User-agent: * Disallow: / User-agent: Googlebot Disallow:
spose better start a reply with "san kyu" (39) because of the date the last post was made.. Miku Day and also my brat kid sisters bday.. 51.. how did we all get so old? Well hello, I am still alive and thought to have a quick look at one of my old stomping grounds... Let's see how many of the old-uns this post can unearth ;-) Byeee..
