@Neph, very nice buddy.. hope this new one turns out ok. Burner PC is still on other side of room, i just Remote Desktop to it. but i have also got the LCD TV as a second desktop..
neph: holy jousting grannies! that's nice creaky: just how many compies do you have at this point? *bug-eyed*
@auslander - only 3 (one of them is a fairly old PC that just holds SNES games, it's linked to my SNES so if ever the kids want to play a game i just upload the game from PC to the console); i am pondering building a mahoosive powerful pc to put in that mahoosive server case in the piccy, but not sure i'll use it very often
lol, build it and use it as an extreme power/gaming pc as well as a server to connect all your other pcs to printer/net/whatever and run your home theater
Thanks man. I've missed so many of you Thanks I live in a studio apt so my PC is my entire entertainment system. I just picked up the 27" Veiwsonic a few weeks ago and it's a stellar performer with just about every hookup available). I'm also running a set of Logitech Z-5500's (500 watt RMS, 10" long throw sub) so I can blast those DTS soundtracks and deafen the neighbors. I'm also getting dish network hooked up in a week so I can watch some real channels like Discovery, History, Learning, Military and so on.
hi all @ creaky and neph what are your monitors those big babies! and how much they cost? i want one - very nice WS jobbies... also are they HDTV ready ? and is the quailty good?
@The_Fiend - lmao, i forgot to mention that hehe. @Rotary - mine's a 32" Samsung, and it is HD ready. it has a pc input of 1366xsome-other resolution, can't remember. awesome quality, and erm, £1000. got a Samsung HD dvd player too, though i didn't buy that for higher quality movies, i just wanted a extra player :O
Wow, nice setups there I wish both the comps we have were up and running id be able to multi task @Neph love that pice you got on the wall
Wow,some of you guys have some really nice setups, thanks for sharing.I wanted to post some of mine but between the crappy camera phone and lack of know-how the best I can offer is this
hi thx creaky - was that a pc monitor or a TV monitor essentially? and did you get from a shop or a website? cheers...
@Rotary - it's an LCD TV that has a PC input. just watched THX 1138 and a lot of that film is set in pure white, the TV gives a crisp picture that's the sharpest and most vivid i've ever seen. got it from one of the proverbial retail park electronic stores. one of the best gadgets i've ever bought, even has Freeview built-in, but my dvd recorder couldn't 'get at' the Freeview cus it's built-in so i bought a more expensive dvd recorder with it's own Freeview tuner so i have in effect twin tuners, it's awesome
my set up, I MADE THIS UP WITH A LIST FOR MY INSURENCE COMPANY,THOSE ARE MY SETUP FOR 2 OF MY COMPUTERS OUT OF 5 THAT ARE ACTIVE.
Truthfully, behind the closet door you see there is a stainless Ruger Mini-14 with two 20 round mags loaded with 55gr. Winchester Ballistic Silvertips and three 30 rounders loaded with standard military ball ammo. As for the monitor it's not quite as nice as creakey's but it's still a good'un. Mine's a 27" Viewsonic 1360X768 HD ready with a bazillion inputs, PIP, built in tuner etc. Mine's connected to my PC via DVI cable and the colors and resolution are everything I could've hoped for. I picked mine up for $729. Good to see you Pete and Ted I collected the Faust series waaaaay back when. They're some really twisted comics that's for sure.
v nice indeed. i see you're cracking out the big guns for the AD crackdown i see my sig on your screen there, i'm sure glad i'm not on the list of offenders :O
