if you are going to use your stock drive first then i would choose the
    (.5-2) Inst/Upg XBMP, Apps, EvoX - Retail HD (C:)

    Daskins,

Yes, I plan to use my a upgrade 120GB hard drive right after I flash the machine.
I plan to leave my retail hard drive untouched because I'm afraid I'll screw it all up.

So I need to know which option to use for "Rebuild New Large HD on v1.x system option."
There are two options - 3-1, and 3-2, and I still don't understand the difference. I would very much appreciate it if you could get the PDF files again.

    Thanks!!!

Oh yeah i chose this optuion when i upgraded:

    3-2) Rebuild v1.X Large HD – *F*

theres not really any difference to either but this options installs all the apps in the F partition.

    Daskins,

What tool do you recommend for extracting xbox ISOs? There seem to be a lot out there.
Also, do you know of a way to create an xbox ISO from an xbox DVD using JUST your PC (not reading off the xbox)?

    Thanks,

    D.

do u even have your chip yet? if not don't worry about all that right now wait till you have it and then wqorry about ti. it's better to be focused on one thig at a time.

well there is no way of just putting a xbox DVD right into your PC and just copy it you HAVE to hook up your box to your comp and FTP the files over to your PC. when u have it on your pc run the files through craxtion and then burn as an iso image.

heres a site with al the info you need on making backups.

    Daskins,

I don't know what version I have yet because I didn't open it yet.
I do know, however, that my Xbox was maunfactured in October 2003, and it has a Samsung drive.
Is the Xecutor modchip install tutorial sufficient enough to identify my Xbox version (http://www.teamxecuter.com/x23b_liteplus_method.htm), or do I need to refer to something else?

    Thanks!

you should open your xbox though before you get your chip your going to eventually have to open it anyway right. get that out of the way and open it to make sure what version of xbox you have so on the day of the initial chip installation you know what to expect when u get in there.

So are you telling me that the XBox version that I have will significantly affect the process of installing the mod chip? I thought I could just follow the Xecuter instructions.

well yeah, beacuse you will have to set the chip to the correct version of your xbox if you do NOT correctly set it to the right ones you can F*ck up your xbox.
