Feel like an old timer, as far as my age. But not as far as membership here, and post count. Been here since 11 April 2004. This post makes 1090 for me, so I'm still a long way off, from being an addict. Not trying for high post counts.

Hang in there, you old timers!)

    Hey JVC :)

About that "Not trying for high post counts" part; same here. I try to only post where it helps, but if your active then reaching Addict is not very hard. I've been pretty busy as of late, that's probably why I'm still on a mere 2857... :-S

Yup, lots of work moderating. I'm part of the 20k+ club too.

You have posted 1273 messages to our discussion forums since you created your account on 27 November 2003.

I count myself as an "Addict", not in my membership but that fact that I know were I can get help with computer stuff when I need it. :p

I am still around, just been busy on and off with a couple of things, ranging from business (trying to get an online store open) to personal matters such as girls, school and just life in general.

    EDIT (by Pop_Smith):
Its very true, and with so many members (I don't remember even an estimate that would be recent) and posts (aD has close to 1.5 million posts) it probably is a near full time job moderating.

@wild77 - the idiots we can deal with (lots of them, just takes a while), but we unfortunately just don't get many Linux threads started here. Don't know why that is, maybe we need to get Neph to start some now he's into Mandriva (my fave distro)

@ wild77.. we don't get many linux threds because we know how a search button works, and how to use google to solve everything but the strange things. I'm a debian user.. Theres not much point asking me about gentoo.

Idiots..tell me about them. It's why I had some time off earlier.

Just looking around.. There are so many old names missing. We need to go and find some of them. I even felt brave enough to take some experience into the console forums earlier. The regulars with skills seem to be missing too. I'm not getting that involved in there, it's just that the search button still isn't being used and the same pointless questions are being asked.
Anybody have a good pic of a horses ass??

    Ways to Confuse Santa

    1. Instead of milk and cookies, leave him a salad, and a note explaining that you think he could stand to lose a few pounds.
    2. While he's in the house, go find his sleigh and write him a speeding ticket.
    3. Leave him a note, explaining that you've gone away for the holidays. Ask if he would mind watering your plants.
    4. While he's in the house, replace all his reindeer with exact replicas. Wait and see what happens when he tries to get them to fly.
    5. Keep an angry bull in your living room. If you think a bull goes crazy when he sees a little red cape, wait until he sees that big, red Santa suit!
