    THE HOW AND WHY OF THE MAYAN END DATE IN 2012 A.D.
    http://www.levity.com/eschaton/Why2012.html

    Mayan Calender consists of two wheels, one on 365 days, the other on 260. Started in August 11, 3114BC, for the whole wheel to finish its rotation (meaning restarting of both wheel) would be at December 21,2012. Their amazing accuracy are more precise than our Julian Calender. It is their believe that at the end of that rotation would be the judgement of the god, where to smite us or save us.

    Crazy crap as far as I'm concerned, different factions have been calling for the end of the earth for the longest. Granted... some fool will pull the switch and end it all one day. Until then, let's do the best we can. I don't think there's a pre-ordained day that we see Armageddon.

    @Pacman,
    Darn, I had already called up and cancelled my phone, cable, electric, and porno magazine subscriptions on that day. Wonder if they will have an "End of Days" special sale on the 22nd?
    But on a serious note, I'm not sure how far above sea level some of the Mayan temples are, but wouldn't it be ironic if that was the day that they became flooded as the sea level rose from the melting of the ice caps?

    Good morning everyone! I have a lot to do today around the house but I think it's going to be one of those lazy days. I'm trying to find something good on the tube; how can one have a couple of hundred tv stations with nothing good to watch?

    I'm on a diet! I gained so much weight after I quit smoking. I've lost twenty five pounds and have only fifteen to go. If I were to lay out a breakfast buffet, I wouldn't be able to resist and I'd eat like a piggie!
