where do i find eeprom?

    like it sais, where do i find the eeprom? is it on the hdd, or somewhere else? if it is on the hdd, where exactly?

    The eeprom is a little 8 legged bug-like chip soldered on the mobo near the lpc points

    you can buy eeprom programers/ writers/ and erasers

    the programming is in a special code probibly C or C++

    the proggrammers etc..
    are for removable eeprom

    sry bout butting in but i had been told the halo 2 serevr boots your eeprom when you get on live with halo mods on i dont mod halo but i have a modded xbox for other reasons LOOOOOADS "o" PORN yea but i was told if that happened you could just simply delete the file from the eeprom folder and replace it with another from an xbox that doesnt use live or someone who doesnt use live

    yeah thats why im trying to get the shit from eeprom.
    got a little project going on.

    well it started out as curiosity between me and cereal, then we just went from there.

    Yeah..you can change (reflash) the eeprom with the data from another box. How MS do it is when you first make a live account they log the hdd serial and the eeprom. Then changing one or the other gets noticed and you get booted. Obviously changing the drive and eeprom as a pair can't be detected and you should be able to continue using your existing account. As far as MS can tell you just got a new box.

    There is another way to read an eeprom http://www.psikic.com/xbox/eepromsdram.php
    But I can't get it to work because of unmet dependencies with my linux..

    well i guess cereal got unbanned from xbl, so he must have figured out how to read his eeprom... or something like that, hell be posting a tutorial soon enough.
