Somebody called in to a radio show I used to listen to in the morning and mentioned doing something like this. They took a screen shot of the person's desktop and made it the wallpaper and then deleted all the icons. For some reason none of the shortcuts worked after that.

I also have a friend who uses a screensaver that looks just like a Windows NT/2000/XP memory dump screen.

Atlanta, Ga where the weather sucks the traffic REALLY sucks, but the people are friendly (unless you are in the traffic and then those people suck too). Are there any more Georgia boys or girls on here? I doubt it, rednecks can't use computers.

As far as the tech thing goes...all of my friends and coworkers are severely technically declined. Even the IT guys at my office give me funny looks when I start talking about some stuff. I am so alone! Ok, I am going to go cry in a corner now.

Nahh your not alone.. I too live in Atlanta.. I totally agree with you on the traffic situation and people here.. Being I have gotten into a few fights myself.. My friend had a gun pulled on him...All in traffic! Atlanta is full of road rage!! I also get that look from most of my friends too.. They just dont "get it" when it comes to anything to do with computers..

    Hi Matt,

It is actually cool to see another Georgia boy on the net, I guess rednecks can use computers. LOL! It is sad that i have actually had to explain and teach a couple of the guys at the office how to use their Mp3 players.

That is pretty sad.. I mean how long has our society been pushing a play button? lol.. Yeah there are some rednecks that know computers.. As we speak I am watching HDTV streamed to my PC through a 1394 connection which is pretty cool.. So are you in downtown Atlanta? I am in cobb/cherokee myself..

I work downtown and have to make that God awful commute everyday. Well, until the end of this month, then I get to start working from home and only driving into Hell when it is absolute necessary. I actually live in Hall County off of Lanier.

All jokes aside Atlanta is a great place to live. Just don't move to the downtown area if you would like a yard, peace and quite, or anything like that. Where Motomatt and I live is a little more rural and laid back, but it all kinda depends on where you are moving from. If you are moving from a big city then you will feel right at home, but if you are moving from a small town you may get a little overwhelmed pretty quick. The burbs of Atlanta are the best places to find a nice home, but impossible to get Chinese food at 2 in the morning.
The main thing you have to get used to is the TRAFFIC and the way people drive. Atlanta drivers are horrible added to that that we now have people that want to climb on the busiest overpasses and sit for like 5 hours threatening to jump. All of this while backing traffic up for 3 or 4 miles. One of my friends from out of state says "Atlanta is a great place, just don't drive there." I also had driving in Atlanta described as everyone trying to hurry and be the first one to stop. LOL You would have to come here sometime to get that. But really that is my only complaint here, I just can't stand the way people drive and considering that over 60% of Atlanta are transplants from other cities you can't blame us native born Georgia boys.

I lived in Blueridge for 2 years..It's nice if you like the mountains and want some peace and quiet. Not alot to do really.. The town is sorta old fashioned. They have a few resturaunts.. No major stores though..Ex:(wal-mart,kmart,target,kroger) Their is also a casino about a hour or so away in Cherokee, North Carolina if you like to gamble.
Blueridge is also a "dry" county, meaning you can buy beer but no liquor or whiskey.

If you dont like snakes, deer, spiders, skunks, possums, pit bulls, cows, chicken houses, bears, bobcats and various other wild animals or the smells that go with them... I would consider moving close to town.. Where they dont roam as much.. You are in the Blue ridge mountains.. So it's normal to see this stuff once in awhile..
