Which burner should i get?

The thing is that i am a little skint so getting the right media is essentail for me after buying a wrong media.

Any cheap uk based sites where i can have a look?

99% of the time its next day delivery, oh and please don't buy DVD's off ebay as I'v been down that road, 2 months later your wondering why none of your PS2/XBOX backups dont work, (havn't got round to modding my GC yet as I'm still waiting 4 it to be delivered)
I always use either Verbatim (MCC) or official TY's (TYG02) for 4.38gb DVD's and all my backups work flawlessly.

PS Im no expert at mini's however the 10 pack of Verbatim @ £5 seem your best bet also they are MCC media ID which burn beautifully in Liteon Drives, not too sure what DVD formats English Gamecubes will swallow though (-r/+r) could be a bit of hit and miss.

I have a Liteon 1973S and dont work in any way, at 1x gives a Power error or something like that, at 2x burn the entire iso but fails to close the session, 4x do it all and show it ok, but i got DREs on NGC.

The firmware its original, could be that? Maybe updating the firmware could fix it? I will try anyways.

On the worst case, i will buy another burner, i read that the champ is the Pioneer 109, but i just find 110s and 111s, are the same? I will thank any other suggestions on burners.

 

You're using the stock firmware?

Update it immediately. That's definitely your problem.

 

OK, i done a crossflash from 1673S to 1693S, and update to latest firmware update. But i keep getting troubles at 1x (dont close session) and at 4x (do it all but NGC dont even read it). Im trying at 2x, and post

 

Crossflash? Are you supposed to do that?

I meant that you should get the latest firmware for your particular model of burner, not flash an newer burner's firmware to it. That could make things worse.
