I am planning to buy a divx player.
Right now, I rip thru div5.1 pro codec.
With so many divx codecs around, can anyone guide which is the fastest
and would that be compatible with the player.
Also which player is the good one ?

i have already purchased the yamada dxv 6100 player by umax
its is really extremely well worth the purchase
i am very happy with the player it is compatible will all divx codecs as well as XVID
also with new releases of codecs you can upgrade the firmware on the player so it will always remain up to date
watching the films on my tv are so much better then the monitor
after the d/l has copleted for a file jus write it to a cdr and play it on ur player simple no hassel and no long and strenious procedure to change it to dvd and play it
it also plays mp3 and vcd svcd and kvcd anything
    and the price is unbeatable
    heres the link from amazon
(damn i feel like a salesman lol)

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000B0A4H/ref=ase_buycdsdvd-21/202-9298600-3625416

jus read the reviews if you dont believe me

There is only one DivX codec (different versions of the same one but essentially still one). It's made by DivX Inc or something like that. If you use the DivX5 there is a profile specifically for Home Theater systems :)
