I have my choice of two cards, my wife can get them free from work - both brand new. I run Linux and OSX86 on an intel PC. I want the best performer out of the two, and I really now nothing about nvidia cards. Been using ATI cards for years now. Which one is better? - I know they are both older cards, but they're free so it's all good. Geforce FX5500 256MB DDR Geforce 6200 256MB DDR Both are AGP, and are from DiabloTech. They're cheap versions, but I just need something for now.
The 6200, definitely. It's the base model, but GeForce FX cards were awful. nVidia made great strides from generation 5 to 6.
