which receiver will work with a directv dish

I already have one and I wanted to see if anyone knew which receiver worked with this dish.

 

None - Get any box and reaim your dish for BEV or DISH.

 

So, I can use my directv dish, but the receiver will only get dish or bev as long as I aim it in the right direction.

 

As far as I know, a dish is a dish.
I have someone similiar to you who had Star Choice which can't be used with FTA receivers. He re-aimed to DISH and up and running.

 

The direct tv box will not get anything but direct tv.

Billo is correct - DirectTV receiver won't get anything else.
You need a FTA receiver and redirect your existing dish.

 

I set up my friends captiveworks, but I currently have directv. I wanted to get another captiveworks because I wanted to cancel my directv. I just need to set up the receiver and find the 110 and 119?

 

Pretty much - hook up the FTA receiver and aim your dish for the best signal for DISH.
