    Hi,
I'm wondering, which software package allows you to rip dvds down to dvdr size while retaining the best quality of video? I mean, when time used in encoding is not an issue.

    Thanks.

I don't have this software, but most of the folks that do seem to prefer CCE as far as vidio quality, but they said it takes a little longer. Correct me if i'm wrong, thats just what I got through the grape vine. Personally I prefer DVDXCopy Xpress but they are out of bussiness.

RB/CCE is the preferred choice. Hard to tell the diff at 50% compression between it and the original. There is some time for the setup, after that it's one click. Takes anywhere from 2 1/2 to 4 hours. Most of us do it before we go to bed, wake up and 10 minutes to burn.

In Batch mode you can do several movies at once which makes tthe time factor a little more tolerable.
