The voltage setting are IN the overclocking settings.

Don't worry though, you don't need them.

ok i really hope this thing works, that 22% 1/5 ratings was a real turn off for me but you guys seem to be all for getting the HIS. im really excited cuz this will be my first high end gaming computer, i used to be all for console gaming only but computer gaming is defiantly the way to go

All of the 1 star reviews are people trying to overclock the card. The default fan speed control for the card is unsuitable for overclocking, and unless changed it will crash and give you graphics errors. However, the card doesn't come pre-overclocked. People are just commenting for the wrong graphics cards. Once again, newegg reviewers being retards.
In any case, up the fan speed in Rivatuner and you can overclock away, since it has the HIS fan, the noise level won't be too bad even if you ramp up the fan speed significantly.

I GOT IT! installed it, and it works, when i installed it, it seemed kinda loose. instead of screws, my pc case has clips for clipping in pci cards and i kinda had to force it a lil even with the card in all the way in the pci-e slot but it works so its all good. the game also came with crysis but 1 problem, crysis dvd wont load. i can get other dvds/cds to work but when i put in crysis it makes these little "clicks" kinda like its trying to load. do i need to send it back and get a new 1??

*edit* ok well i got Crysis to load....just took awhile...o well i wont be using the dvd anymore. ill just make the ISO like i do with all my games

With every case I've seen that has a tool-less clip system for securing the cards at the back, dual slot graphics cards are a bit too much for them to take, but since graphics cards are also secured at the slot that shouldn't be an issue.

ok well i was playing Crysis for awhile and on high graphics (not highest) im getting some lag mostly when shooting. should it lag with
    AMD Athlon 64 x2 +6400 3.2ghz
    2GB DDR2 800 RAM
    ATI Radeon HD 3870

the only thing i have running in the background is AVG and im downloading a file but i doubt that would have anything to do with the lag. im gonna download fraps and check my frame rate though

You can't play Crysis on an HD3870 (or any graphics card for that matter) at resolutions higher than 1024x768 on the 'High' setting. You need to set "Shadows" and "Shaders" to low to be able to pull off the resolutions you play other games at.

That's pretty good considering the CPU you use...

Like sam said, that's very good!

    I get 11870 with a 3850! Whoo! lol

Go and overclock that card and watch that score go UP.

Overclocking my card only added 5-6% to my 3dmark. A reasonable amount of 3dmark is your CPU, having a Core 2 Quad adds around 2000 marks to your score compared to a duo at the same overclock.

Not really, my score went up about 600 only.

Well that's a bit weird, because two of the results from people at my LAN party were a 3.6Ghz Core 2 Duo and 8800GTX scoring a touch under 12,000 and a 3.4Ghz Core 2 Quad and an 8800GTS G92 scoring over 14,000...

That's not an equal test. I'm with the exact same setup as before and getting only around 600 more with the CPU at the same speed.

It just might be that the video cards performed different, were overclock etc. I'll try disabling two cores and running the test.

Maybe I remember my old score wrong? Maybe I did do much better.
