I have evox and it is a good dashboard. It is easy to use, and it looks nice. I havent tried out Avalaunch so i dont know about that one. I suggest Evox. You can get them from the usual places.
Ive looked around and havent really found anything just a bounch of no good links and im not a irc fan. Does anyone know any specific adresses.....thanks
What do you mean your not an IRC fan? That is the only way you can get it........ Oh yea its against forum rules to ask where or to tell where to get them, they are illegal.
hello, does anyone know how to copy the orginal microsoft kernal to a new harddrive and have evox ontop of that?
Hi there guys 1st post so please bear with me. I've been debating on getting the Xenium ICE Solderless for an X-box v1.4. My question is this, will dvd backups done on lets say a Memorex DVD+R backup be recognized or will I have to make all of my dvd backups on a DVD-R. Only reason I ask is that whenever I see that people refer to DVD backups on the forums it is in the form of DVD-R. Just a bit of advice would be helpful. Thanks, FH
Hi folks, Just got this chip and it's the muts nuts! Fitting with the solderless kit was really easy. Had a few problems at first finding the bios I wanted (evoxM7) and then a few more problems getting the bios onto the chip. Turned out to be the DVD drive in my XBOX that didnt like certain types of media. Thought my experience might help others, so... to get the bios on I did this: Follow chip instalation instructions to the letter and BACKUP YOUR EPROM ! Set up xbox FTP settings on xenium first *(File Transfer Protocol, use Google if you need help) default user is xbox default pw is xbox give it an unused local address within your network, lets assume 192.168.1.8 Connect to it through home network using default settings and the local address you gave it e.g. "ftp://xbox:xbox@192.168.1.8" You can use windows explorer for this, just type the address into the address bar. MAKE A BACKUP of the xbox C: and E: on PC Create a new directory on the xbox C: called 'evoxbios'and ftp the bios across into it (drag and drop with windows explorer). copy evox.ini and evoxdash.xbe to root of c: skins (if you have them) go in c:\skin On Xenium OS 'Add new launch item' from 'flash' wait a few seconds. Select C:\ and then select evoxbios folder and then the bios file itself. Give it a name, Choose an led colour for it (external led mount is a good idea, this way you always know when your chip is on) launch new bios and your done. All you have to do then is find a recordable media your xbox likes. I have the Philips DVD xbox drive and Sony DVD-R DMR47N2 works for me. I have to admit this was a little more difficult than I expected, mostly due to the crappy DVD drive in the xbox. Any question, I will do my best to help. Anyone know where I can get the Samsung replacement drive at a REASONABLE price? thanks Note: Once evox is up and running, you can use the FTP facility in evox, but you must edit the evox.ini file to include the correct network settings first. T
Whats up people, I have read through a lot of these forums to make sure my question was not already answered. If I am repeating a question I apologize, but trust me I looked (it makes the work day go by quicker). I have installed a xenium ice chip on my xbox and all I want to do at the moment is play one of my regular games (i have not even made backups yet) and I can't find out how to play the game. I get the XENIUM OS v2.0 menu...am I missing something? Let me know, and thanks in advance.
zer0c00l, Ok, goto the Xenium OS 2.0 menu and click on the first button. Then goto "add ___" (can't rember what its called but I think its the first option. After you should see three options. The one furthest to the left should say TSOP. Click that and if your harddrive isn't screwed up then it should say something like name it something. Name it whatever you want. After that then just make sure your harddrive is locked and then boot that one and not your "hacked bios". It should work now. PM if you have any problems. Good luck.
dude, go to xbox-scene.com read the tutorials there on this stuff. here s a direct link http://www.xbox-scene.com/tutorials.php?p=14|85|#85 and your good to go. also check teamxodus.com, and read some of the tutorials there. Booting from the TSOP is all fine and dandy, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having a mod chip. i flash mine over the network using SMB.
thanks guys, i did use the tsop (which I don't know what it means)...and it works fine. I have another question but in order to stick with the rules I am going to start a new thread because it does not seem to be of the exact same topic. Thanks for your help.
