    Alright, its about 6hrs 'til the games begin. As my kids are fanatic about football, they've pushed me to make my predictions on finalists too. And no, England wont win :)

    Finalists:

    Brazil
    Argentina

    Winner:

    Argentina

    ..I actually hope that Argentina wins, but I'm quite certain Brazil will win :)

    Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Spain, Netherlands... they are the biggies for me, but Germany has had a bit of a loss in Reus for sure, and Spain got absolutely destroyed by Brazil a year ago... it's hard to call one :)

    Of course, when I threw 5eur into a competition and was drawn a team.. i drew USA... so I'll have to hope for an incredible miracle now :p USA USA USA USA! :p

    Yeah, good luck with that one Dela. Don't get me wrong, I certainly wouldn't mind seeing USA come out on top, but I just don't think it's going to happen.

    Brazil is looking pretty tough right now.

    Well that was a very good opening game to the competition! I thought Croatia deserved the draw at 2-1 (it wasn't a penalty), but Brasil did well to see off the game with the 3rd goal.

    I do think Brasil will be the ones to beat but really tough to call a winner. Assuming Brasil win their group though and there are no shock results in Group B, they will play either Spain or Holland in the last 16 which will be a huge game so early on!

    England might just about scrape through their group..

    As much as i wish the U.S. to win the world cup, we all can just about be assured that it won't happen probably in all of our lifetime.

    Once in a century, I think that is fair estimate for England .. so, around 2066 then :)
