When i watched star trek i thought humpty dumpty on play school could act.Thats how long ago i watched star trek as all the new stuff is not as good for me.
Respect for the great man who recently died since me starting this thread.Obviously the man shown great strength in his stuggle since his accident 9 years ago and really deserves to be known as superman.Respect to the one and only superman and long live his films.
-wipes a tear from the eye and raises his mug- A toast to the one and only Superman! May his spirit live on.
I think that was his biggest down fall in some ways. Many believed he looked and played the part of superman so well it was hard to cast him in another role.Everyone seen him as superman and some would know him more as superman than his own name.
The man certainly carried the "Superman" theme into his personal life. I've tremendous respect for his accomplishments and spirit.
Here, here....... Man, I have heard the press and some others here in the UK saying things that he has given other people in similar positions false hopes and he was wrong to do what he did since the accident....... Well, screw the lot of them, that is what the human spirit is all about and Christopher Reeve was and STILL IS the example of this. IMO, he showed remarkable courage and bravery to continue his fight against paralysis and personally I would have loved to have had the pleasure of meeting him and shaking him by the hand. You will be missed, but remembered not only for your 'super' films you made when I was a youngster but for the grit and determination you showed to overcome your paralysis............... May you rest in peace................
