Circuity City will have their own brand of 100-pack CD-Rs on sale for $7.99 after $25 rebate starting on August 4. Does anyone know who made these discs? If they were made by Princo or Ritek, this may be a good deal.

    Thanks in advance.

If you look at the spindle and it has a circular foam thing between the cover and the top CDR, it's Princo. If it has clear plastic rubber rings instead, it's CMC Magnetics. If it has a screw disc on top of the lid, then it's Taiyo Yuden :)

Almighty1, thanks for the tip although the 100-pack spindle has a black foam. I finally picked up one spindle of Circuit City brand, and they are Ritek discs with type 7 dye:

    ATIP: 97m 15s 17f
    Disc Manufacturer: Ritek Co.
Reflective layer: Dye (Short strategy; e.g. Phthalocyanine)
    Media type: CD-Recordable
Recording Speeds: min. unknown - max. unknown
    nominal Capacity: 702.83MB (79m 59s 73f / LBA: 359848)

At least they have a nice protective layer.
