What an appropriate subject for Afterdawn/safety valve: Beer. 20% alcohol is a bit much for beer. But 8-9% can be very tasty. In that category, Delirium Tremens and Duvel are two Belgian beers that I wish were available all over the world. They wouldn't cost much more than the other fare.

So, if an official convention is too much hassle to organise then an informal meet would be better. Pick a date next year, agree on a location and sort out our own hotels (or tents, or shop doorways). Then we can all meet up in a restaurant or bar or something. I don't care where we go as long as there's no spiders. Can't stand bloody spiders, that's why I won't go to Australia. I don't even talk to Australians just to be on the safe side. Evil things. Well we have Stella in Toronto. So we could hold it hear. Sounds like a good idea. We should select a city, country that is nice to visit. We have people from UK, USA, Finland, Canada, Australia, Eqypt, any I have forgotten? That is all I can remember now. But would be cool to vist somewhere. we could all meet next year at the formula 1 race in Indianapolis. It's pretty much centrally located in the US so it would rather easy for all the americans to meet up there. plus it's only 30 minutes from my house so we could all go back to my place afterwards

Many of us meet here because we like the conditions. I believe changing these conditions may lead to (mass?) defections. I'm not opposed but I have my doubts.
