I noticed RATDVD runs in low priority, turning it higher seems to improve the speed, is this a bug?

It's not a bug, I'm sure. Incrementing the priority only makes your system slower without an increase of speed in the encoding. It's ok like it is. If you realy realy want it to be with a higher priority you can put it higher yourself too :)

"Default" low priority for video encoding is OK. But I think, it should be optional in user interface.
