Just came back because something has dawned on me in the last couple of days. A new trend..And it's a bit annoying to say the least.
Here goes, I'm tired so this might ramble a bit..apologies in advance.

A person posts for help and somebody starts to help them..then somebody else gets involved as well.. If they are helpful and constructive then great, I don't mind somebody giving like a second opinion either. It helps keep it in focus. You get to the root of the problem and the initial question is answered to everybodys satisfaction, including the person asking. Then along comes some "know all" noob who basically just quotes from the other answers given trying to sound like they know everything about it. I caught one and asked him a few tech questions about his answer and he didn't know any more than what had been posted in the thread.
I think this is just a clever form of spamming to increase postcount. Unnecessary information..not extra info..just repeating what has already been said by others. Always by a newbie, and always after all the possible answers have been given.
I know It shouldn't bother me but it does.
Then there are the mouthy little gobs***es. 14 going on 4 who think they can shout people down, criticise people for doing what they chose and then insult or otherwise mouth off at the person who pulls them back in line. I've got one going right now..little toerag thinks he can attack somebody for choosing to pay for something and then mouthing off at a respected member who pulled it all back in line. He's going to wish he hadn't crossed my path for the same thing three times in the last 2 days. When I get flamed I reach for my intellect and language skills and make them a new brain cavity. One not connected directly to the a$$hole, that they can fill with empty space instead of s***.
Anyway..bedtime, just quietly musing over why AD isn't what it was.
Do you know in 800 odd posts and over 12 months membership I've only ever started one thread...and it was on such an obscure issue I never even got an answer. Yet I see mouthy brainless little kids go from nothing to senior in 4 days and they still post nothing but crap and abuse..that's just pure spamming and I think it should be stamped out before we are totally overrun with gobby immature kids. The autopromotion clearly doesn't work as intended. It's like a red rag to a bull with these idiots.

@janrocks, we think alike. Here is a c/p from my first post in this thread on the first page.LOL

    C/P.
One other thing that still gets to me is after I answer something in a post, then 2 days later someone posts the same info again right below my post. I guess they can't read. Thats all for now. Don't want to turn this into another complaint type thread.

I have trawled the console forums to see the "train wreck" threads, it's a nightmare. I reckon we need a new sherriff in town. There is only one person who has the respect & knowledge to control these boneheads.
Any guesses as to whom I am referring?

Like it was you Aus?? :p

It's ok ddp.. about 5 of us have reported him so I'm not going to be surprised to see banned under his name. I was so annoyed with him in the end that I unsubscribed from all the threads this idiot is spoiling, and to be honest I can't be bothered with him so much I don't want to even go and look for them. TimmyNo7 enough said. Was joining up with Ovvl/guano and dr.cool like they were the same team of idiots. I warned him that I know how to use the search button and he didn't take the hint.. I think mike and gus and myself have seen him off.
    Ahh.. life is good.

Hi jerry.. I was just musing last night, to be honest I just came to this thread and posted. Didn't even read it back. I just wanted a vent, and this semed the perfect place to let off some steam. I haven't ever set my clock to the right time so all I know is it was the ramblings of somebody who had been deprived of sleep for far too long. But as to the point..[IMG] I'm getting pretty sick of seeing my info regurgitated by some noob after I've posted it. What's the point of even wasting my finger time? I'm getting to the point of " If they know so much then let 'em get on with it" [IMG]

Todays phrase = "service with a smile..baby".. lol

So does post count/member title mean that someone is more deserving of acknowledgement?

I went to an audio forum one time, and signed on to enter a discussion about certain drivers. Someone was talking about how their Audiobahn Flame subwoofer destryed a JL W7, and Adire Tumult. Now, as someone who understands a HUGE amoung about speakers, their design, and implimentation I rationally discussed the technical advantages of the W7 and Tumult over the cheap poorly designed Audiocrap in both accurate sound reproduction, as well as overall output. I did so linking DUMAX graphs, and an explination of the Theile Small parameters and how they affect the overall sound and output of the driver.

    The response? "Get lost noob"

Now, maybe I was a forum noob, but in no way was I an audio noob. But this dude was an "advanced" forum member. He had no idea I build high end home theater speaker systems, everything from cabinet and crossover construction, to in room measurements and crossover designs so these speakers work well in their exact application. But I was the noob.

It is my opinion that we need to pay attention to the quality of the user posts on our own, and remember... even a noob may know more than an addict. So the title means squat IMHO.

If you had been here a while you would know that NOT to be true!

There have been numerous threads/discussions discussing this very point! 99.99% of people here would agree with you, again, if you'd been here a while you would have known that!

Actually, as a member of several forums, I knew the answer to both those statements, and I knew they had been discussed many times in the past. It is common forum commentary. I just wanted to reiterate what I have a million times before as well. Quality > Quantity.

Yes, we are all well aware of that! Being a member of several forums is irrelevant.

Does that make you more informed than others?
