That's the point I was trying to make. Usually people who know what they are talking about choose who to answer. It depends on how the question is worded. It took me over a year to get 500 posts in the xbox forums for exactly that reason. I only helped people who I thought would be able to understand the answer, and that my help would be relevant to the issue. Otherwise my philosophy is.. If you can't help..keep the hell out and let those who can get on with it. Strange but true. I don't give a toss on whether the member is a noob..a senior or an addict.. I'll even contradict a staff member if they are talking out of their ass.. I don't care.. It's not personal.. My point is.... There is a certain kind of idiot who thinks rank says more than knowlege..and that they will get respect when talking total s*** when it says addict or whatever under the name.... Nothing could be further from the truth. Yet another public service announcement
I know that rings true for me. I usually stick with the DVD forums and there are certain members who if I see their name as the last posted I don't even look at the thread (unless I'm looking for knowledge) because I know that they have it covered. I usually don't even look at a thread that has more than 10 posts in it unless I've already posted there. There is no use that I see in jumping in with my two cents if it is the same as your two cents.
Sometimes I'll review a thread if it seems to get off track or somebody doesn't seem to be getting something..Even experts can miss some little point. That's why I don't mind somebody coming in with "hey have you missed <whatever point>?..maybe check that. Now that's cool.. The main point is surely solving the problem with the minimum of fuss. I like the virus fixing threads for that. Very professional, and an extremely good example of how it should be done. But back on topic... DVDBack getting insulted for doing something for somebody.. It's a bloody disgrace and the little s*** should be at least given a cooling off period for it. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/7/353041

Yeah, can't you see him sitting at his computer. Sitting on one of those camping toilets, with the plastic bag that hangs underneath. His poor dog is hiding in the corner from the smell. Wait a minute that is starting to sound like... Well, nevermind.
