Can someone help. My xbox needs a new motherboard its a version 1.2.If I buy a new version 1.2 motherboard will it work with my old hard drive or do I have to buy a hard drive that will be plug and play with the motherboard I get? In other words will my new motherboard have trouble recognizing my old hard drive?

as far as i know if the harddrive was not unlocked before your motherboard went down then the only way to use the harddrive would be to remove the eeprom chip from old mobo and resolder to new motherboard.
does anyone know of a harddrive unlocker program?
or maybe a hotswap method to get this unlocked?
