what parts do you have now because when i order a system without windows it is already built. if you click on the systems tab you'll see what they sell as units.

you need a case that can come with a power supply, motherboard, cpu, cpu heatsink fan assembly, ram, hard drive, rom drive(s), floppy drive, video card, maybe dialup modem, keyboard, mouse, speakers, monitor(lcd or crt) & maybe some case fans. check this link as they sell both complete systems minus software & parts to build your own. also on the south east corner of hwy 7 & woodbine is tigerdirect.ca store.

if i go with this set up:

    AMD 64bit 3500+ (pin 939) 2.2 GHz
    Asus: A8N-E motherboard
    2 sticks of 512mb ram
    XFX GeForce 6800 GT/256MB DDR3/PCI Express/SLI/Dual DVI/TV Out

I have a 6600gt ddr3.I would take this over just a standard 256 video card.I don't have alot of games just unreal tournament 2004 and it plays that just fine I'm sure doom 3 will play fine.I wish I had the geforce 7800.

God I hope that BF2 will play nice. I am building a computer just like that one, with a minor changes, and I would hate to see it not play great!

Keep me posted on how your computer turns out.

I have a 6800LE riva tuned to 16 pixel pipelines, it plays BF2 very well, all game setings at high & at 4x AA & 4x AF gives me about 45-60 FPS.

Nope, I just put GT in my sig 'cos I don't want to put 6800LE rivatuned to 16pp. I reckon the performance is pretty comparible.

As far as I am aware the GT has 12pp, so mine is possibly quicker. I could get all but one of the vertex shaders.

He has a 6800le but he has unlocked the pixel pipes so it runs just as fast if not faster than a 6800gt.
