FEAR on my 7600 GT at High Settings is minimum over 80 fps for me so a 7600 GT is good enough for you. Although if you want to be playing more modern games you might want a newer graphics card. The 6200 LE you mentioned is nothing, it's crap, don't even think about it.

Could you give us more specifications about your computer?
Then we can choose out a nice VGA card which fits with your other hardware.

Cuz if you install a 8800GTS combined with a P4 3Ghz, the CPU can't keep up with the VGA and you will lose performance of the VGA-card.

If you got a specification similliar to this:

    P4 3Ghz
    1GB DDR 400Mhz
    PCI-E compatible mainboard

Then a 8500GT should be a nice upgrade. It doesn't cost that much, and you got DirectX 10 and you are able to run the newest games nice and smooth at everything at medium/high including C&C 3 and F.E.A.R.

    Intel Celeron D 336 (2.8Ghz)

also problem is i cant find the f***ing psu for it... im crap when it comes to building one as its my first time and no experiance

A 400 Watt PSU should be enough.
But never take a Celeron D proc.
    They suck hard.

I suggest buy a good computer now for the upcomming OS's, games and applications.
So you dont need to buy a new computer withing a year.

    I suggest:

    Intel E6320 processor
    1GB DRR2 667MHz memory
    Gigabyte G33-DS3 motherboard
    Samsung 250GB S-ATA 2 HDD
    Antec Basiq 350/400Watt PSU
    8500GT 256MB DX10 VGA card

With this computer you should only update your VGA card after one and a half year.
Cuz then it'll be a lil bit slow for the games comming out next year.
And the rest of hardware should keep it up for two/two and a half years.

Consider the 7600 GT and don't get the 8500 GT. That card is a piece of crap, trust me I had one. With the 8500 GT you are looking at LESS than half the power of a 7600 GT for about the same price.

Celeron D = a steaming pile of crap

if your tight on cash definitely go for the AMD athlon 64 X2s. They are BETTER than Pentim D And a lot better than celeron D.

Yeah that is pretty good. You re-use your old case, HDD, and DVD drive.

My lil bro also has a 8500GT, and it runs like edited by ddp.
Maybe it runs bad in combination with your hardware.

No, I think my hardware is fine. What games does your brother play? Maybe you can install fraps and tell us what kind of FPS is he getting on them and at what resolutions and quality settings?

    Best Regards,
    Abuzar.

    CPU: E6600
    Mobo: Gigabyte G33-DS4
    Mem: 2GB OCZ Gold DRR2 800Mhz
    VGA: Gigabyte 8500GT 256MB (Next week it'll be replaced for a 8800GTX)
HDD: 2x WD Raptop 36GB 10.000RPM in Raid 0 configuration

    He often plays BF2 on a resolution of 1650x1050 with a contstant framerate around 40 ~ 45.
So that is enough to make the game play smoothly.
And when he gets his new VGA card, it'll be around 100 :p

He also plays Colin McGay Dirty (Colin McRae DiRT) and that runs at 1280x1024 everyhing at high with AAx4 and AFx8 with a framerate around 35 ~ 40.
So still enough to let the game run smootly.

Most new games are running smooth.
Altough I think Crysis and Bioshock won't run that smooth.
Thats why he is switching to a 8800GTX so he can enjoy those games @ max graphics force.

Thats a chart for BF2142 edited by ddp.
That game has much more advanced graphics details.
And ofcourse the VGA card of my bro is OC'ed real hard combined with a water cooled system.

So you can OC it pretty much.
And it runs like a edited by ddp now.

I know it is a chart for BF2142, which happens to be a modern game. Maybe you should read your own posts?
