will this memory go with this motherboard?

    I'm doubtful. The board only supports up to PC5400 speed RAM.

    As my understanding of these things go, it should work fine, but it's a waste, since it won't run at 800. It'll be downclocked to 667 automatically due to the limitation of your board.

    Where I said "As my understanding...," I should have said "As my LIMITED understanding..."

    I'm not exactly a reputable source on this. It's just what I picked up by looking into memory upgrades for my own machine on the intertubes.

    True, but there's no 100% guarantee, and since PC5400 is cheaper, may as well buy that to start with.
