hi peeps quick question i have this board hxxp://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=307&l4=0&model=1295&modelmenu=1

    hxxp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-025-KS&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817&name=Kingston%20HyperX%202GB%20(2x1GB)%20DDR2%20PC2-8500C5%201066MHz%20Dual%20Channel%20Kit%20(KHX8500D2K2/2G)

the specs say the board handles upto 800Mgz but it also says its designed to run hand in hand with the kingston hyperX 1066Mgz modules so am a bit confundled its like its saying to me 'This board only handles 800mgz ram but u can stick 1066Mgz in it and it will be A...OK''

1066mhz RAM only runs at 800mhz unless you specifically tell it otherwise in the BIOS. I see no reason why you should buy 8500 RAM if the board doesn't properly support it. Unless you're overclocking significantly, you wouldn't see the difference even if the board did support it.
