I happen to prefer the old control panel and not that fond of MS Apps and especially the navigational mess MS made with Windows10 and 11. In my view the shift to the recent cluttered app system is one of the few things I like least about every MS OS since Windows 7. I don't have a problem with updating security and adding features that allow for faster connectivity such as USB 3.0 and 4, both of which makes external SSD drives snappier to use but also viable replacements for internal drives. There's a reason why a lot of Windows 10 users download and use Classic Shell (now open shell). Each successive Windows release since Win7 is the strongest of arguments for dropping Microsoft altogether and moving to Linux.
