hi , hoping someone can offer some help, I have just managed to rebuild my first pc from scratch , though a lot of work to do yet, I managed to do a clean install of windows 98se along with all updates updated directx etc ,the problem is this if i run scan disk the pc frezes and locks up , though works fine in safe mode reports no errors but reboot into normal windows and scandisk wont work any ideas as to what ive done wrong, its a small pc only 2gb but it had been in mothballs still in cellophane so i decided to try and sortit out its really quite a fast little machine eager to please so any help appreciated as i need to buy soundcard , cd writer and sort the graphics out too as no card!
