    Good Day,

My windows Xp Pro Cant recognize Both my CD Rom & DVD Ram
    CD Rom Model: LG GCR-8520B
    DVD RAM Model: LG GSA-4120B

I get this is Device Status:

Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

I did all in the troubleshoot & it dont work.

I unstall/reinstall Both devices & Check Windows Web Update.

Dont Know what to do next..

    Regards,
    Dan

does motherboard see both drives or not. if on same cable you might have them set both as master or slave instead of dvd master & cd slave & that is done by jumpers on back of drives between audio & ide connector

There have been several threads like yours. Seems the problem happens when both drives are the same make and on the same IDE channel. Try to put each drive on a different IDE channel. I think that corrected the problem in some of the cases.
