I got a hold of a copy of Windows Media Center Edition 2005 (DVD Version). I installed it and gave me Windows XP Professional instead of Windows Media Center Edition 2005. It did not install the Media Center components of it. Anybody know how to get it to install the rest of Media Center?

I did the upgrade so I would not lose my data.

that is what i tried with same problem, apparently you have to do full install so you could backup your data and try that.

I might just put it on my new computer comming in, so i would not lose any thing important. any way why not have the new OS on a newer computer.
