Windows media center?

I hear people talking about it....but what is it?

What do i need to run it? Specially designed computer or what?

Is it a seperate operating system or is is just a Windows media player alternative?

i believe its just xp with a bunch of crap for a media center (recording tv and such).

I have it.
It's a different type of XP. eg. XP home, XP professional.
It's just XP Media Center Edition, it comes with this Media Player that plays music, movies, and can watch TV on your comp if you connect a TV cable to your comp. Also comes with a remote for those lazy people. =)
