Hey is there anyone that could help me get this song i downloaded.

I opened it and go this message asking.....

The File Your Attempting to play has an extension that does not match
the file format. Playing the file may result in unexpected behaviour.

Do you want the player to try play the file?

and i think ive seen this message before so i thought yer i`ll just click yes and it should work like it allways mostly did but then i got this other edited by ddp message saying......

Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.

and it plays any other MP3 format so why not this one and would anyone no what codec i need to fix this problem?

um..if theres anymore else that needs or needs more explain just ask and i`ll try answer it coz ive downloaded this same edited by ddp song and its ben da same edited by ddp copy of it just in diffrent torrents so id like to know maybe if its the real song this time...grrr thanks to anyone that can at least lead me to the right path it b great thanx....

Some people may find your use of the word 'gay' to mean 'lame' or 'stupid' offensive, whether or not they are gay themselves. Suggest you read the rules about offensive language.

I would think that the answer is obvious. It won't play that mp3 because it isn't an mp3.

A fake is maybe the answer. RIAA tactics to scare off the n00bs.

Fake, corrupt or just another audio format and rather than adding the support for the file extension (say .ogg) they just renamed to mp3.
