Windows media wont play in widescreen properly? Any Ideas?

    I have multiple widescreen movies, and all of them wont play in widscreen the correct way. I define correct way as only small black bar on top and bottom. What happens is, i get large bars on top and bottom, along with bars on the left or right. Why is it doing this, I have my Video card set to 1900x1050. Are there any other video players that play dvds from the HD that are good quality?

    Try some different screen resolutions and see what happens.
