I'm trying to make a background image that plays music using TMPGEnc DVD author and a friend of mine told me to merge that background picture and audio file together using Windows Movie Maker. Well, I did that, but it save it as a wmv and I need it to be mpg so I can use it as my background image of my menu. Can someone help me in doing this?

    Thanks.

WMM does not offer to save in mpeg so what I do is save as DV-AVI. I Then use a .avi to mpeg converter. After that I use Nero or TMPGEnc DVD Author to turn the mpeg into DVD-Video.

Using something other than WMM would be a lot less trouble. I do like the transitions in the program though.

I made a sample clip here with NeroVision.
My material for the clip was the sample pictures and music that came with Windows. Except the very end of the clip.
