    Hi Guys,

I just recently had to redo my system b/c of a faulty mobo (gigabyte k8n pro). I had to get another and switched to a gigabyte k8 triton.

Now when windows is running i have an icon in the taskbar (Safely Remove Hardware) that wants to uninstall my hard drives. Why? and how do i prevent this?

I know how to always hide the icon, but that won't prevent windows from constantly wanting to uninstall it, will it?

    Thanks again

maybe you didnt fully install the drive correctly. did you see a driver disc, and if you did, did you install it correctly.

    thanks for the replies..

i needed to install 3rd party drivers before installing windows (press f6)and i used the same drivers from old mobo. since they recognized them i thought all was well.

how can i uninstall or just install these drivers without a fresh install?

    thanks agin..
