Has anyone else been having this problem? I get an error message that states Windows Search Indexer Has Stopped Working. Is there an easy fix for this where I do not have to go into my registry? i can not change the settings to it in my control panel.
I am running Windows Vista home Premium on my HP Pavilion dv6000.
    any sugestions would be great.

I'm not sure about Vista, but in XP you can go Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services, then in that list you find the indexer service, and change it to start up automatically.
