I use Nero ed 6 on a Windows XP ,recently whilst editing on Wave editor I had a freeze frame and in a panic clicked away eventually restoring the wave Editor but ever since I cannot record anything from 'line in'.I can hear it on the speakers but the sound level indicators do not move....all the faders are up on the mixer window and i can listen to audio CDs as usual and copy, hear internet sound and import video and audio thro' my video card, but I cannot get Sound Recorder or Nero Wave editor to record new sound.Any ideas?,I am a mature newcomer to computing but really enjoy using sound to transfer old LPs and tapes to CD.

open your windows xp audio control window by going to

    start menu/accessories/entertainment/audio control panel

select from file advance and see if the line in option is muted

also make sure you didn't use a illegal version of nero nero has updated to deactivaite peoples sound cards if they use a illegal version

so in order to fix this problem you have to reload the intir os so have fun
