windows won't boot stays on black boot screen

Hp installs a recovery partition D on all it's later comps (not sure what they did before they started shipping all comps with the recovery partition),you access the recovery by tapping F10 on restart
assuming you have one or haven't deleted it or it's software,one of my previous posts gives the 3 recovery options

 

peeps thanks for all the help i was able to get all my files off my hard drive and put them onto another hard drive last night then i done a system recovery and now my pc is working again.
