Windows xp firewall?

    If anyone knows how to permanently get rid of this firewall i really need some advice. i already know control panel but it still exists and screws up quite a few of my programs . Any help would be appreciated.

    i dont believe you can get rid of it being that it is integrated into windows xp. you can disable it by going into the control panel/network connections/ right click on your internet connection/ choose properties/ go to the advanced tab/ then click on the firewall settings.

    SP2 contains this intergrated firewall, go back to SP1 if possible.

    If you downloaded SP2 from microsoft then you can uninsatll SP2.

    i do have SP1 right now SP2 screwed up my whole computer so im never installing it again

    Sorry to hear that, So you were able to uninstall SP2?

    Hope you have another firewall in mind.
