windows xp problem

    help wanted can any one tell me how to repair or put this back on my computor c:windowssystem32autoexec.nt as it pops up when i try to do things

    it driving me mad help

    I've got same problem too - it's stopping me adding new / upgrade sw to my system now

    i have done what you said went to install my disk and it came up in the 16 bit windows

    system\current control srt\control\virtualdevicedrivers\

    virtual device driver format registry is invalid pressclose to terminate if i ignore it and press ingnore it gives me the same problem as last time

    If you have the origanl windows CD their is a recovery console that will get that back.

    click on loners link above and then go to nirvanas link then put your windows xp disk in your d:\ drive then follow the commands in the resolution when it says expand make sure you leave a space as shown and type in your d:\ drive as a source but making sure you type in c: later on in the line near windows system its basicly taking data off the d:\ drive and putting it on to the c:\ drive i hope i have not managed to confuse you and it works
