    hi all,
I am looking for the installation and driver discs for windows xp professional service pack 3 for my daughters samsung np-x11 labtop as she needs to do a clean install after a virus which is now cleaned but the tcp/ip protocol driver is corrupt and i have looked everywhere on the internet for a solution that worked but found none, hence the clean install.
    thanks in advance.

you just need an xp install disk, not necessarily a service pack 3 disk.install basic xp pro and then download sp3 as an update from ms.like ddp said you can get the drivers from the samsung site.xp will install basic drivers to get you going.used to be able to get a copy of the install disk from local computer store.

ddp and aidan thanks for your replies,i don,t have an xp pro disc only a dell xp home edition,i have already downloaded the drivers from the samsung website, but still cannot access the internet(everything else is running ok),i have narrowed the problem down to the tcp/ip protocol driver this is the only problem showing up in device manager when i show hidden devices, and when i try to open internet explorer i get internet explorer cannot display the webpage, and then run a diagnostic report i get error 12007,

don't bother as your wireless is listed in your last post. none of your drivers are installed.

so no other unknown devices or exclamation marks except for the wireless card, correct? look on the bottom side of the laptop for a label that has either intel or atheros on it & post back what it is.
