    Hi all -
I needed to reinstall Windows XP on my notebook, but I'd lost the disc. I called Dell, who seemed unhappy with my carelessness, but shipped me a new CD. They said they only ship one additional copy, and that was it for me.

I'd like to take the CD back to college with me, but my mom said she'd be willing to store a copy in a safe place in case I lose it again. If that were to happen, I'd be out of luck, since Dell wouldn't send me another one.

Is there any way I can make a copy of Windows XP, either on DVD-R or CD-R?

    Please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Jen

Okay, I found out you can use Nero's Copy Disc to make a copy of Windows XP. I learned that under "Read Options," you must check:

    - Read media catalog number and ISRC (slower)
    - Ignore illegal TOC type
    - Read audio data with subchannel
    - Ignore read errors.

This was written in 2002, and an older version of Nero was being used. I am using Nero Express 6, and can't find the "Read Option" menu. Can anyone give me a hand?

    Thanks again,
    Jen
