winDVD wont install at all

Hi all!
Just joined all of u guys there.
I have a problem regarding installation of WinDVD8 Platinum.
ON the first step itself it says "WinDVD requires that the
following requirements be installed on ur comp prior to installing this app.Click OK to begin installing these requirements....."
BELOW:
Downloading :MS DirectX Feb2006 Runtime
Pending :MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
---------
And it doesnt find the downloads and asks me to cancel or retry

Any help will be appreciated
