winrar giving me error

    i don't now what going on but when i go to extract a folder it's giving me a error(only ntfs file system supports file larger than 4 gb)and i have lots of room on my hard drive.any suggestion?

    How big is the winrar file, after it's decompressed could it possibly be over 4GB? If you are on a Fat32 file system this could be your problem.

    yes it's more then 4 gb and yes my hard drive is fat 32 file,is their a way to change that?

    The easiest way is to partition a part of your hard drive, then convert the partition part to NTFS.

    ddp is there a chance after converting a system hard drive problems could arise, I was under the impression to avoid this if possible.

    yes there is that possibility so backup data before converting. other option is save your info, boot off the xp cd so can delete & make new partition than format the hd in ntfs than load xp & all your programs
