    Hi all

Just bought a new laptop, using vista, with wifi, and it won't see my linksys WRT54G router. I have plugged a cable into the router and have internet access that way. Can anyone out there shed some light onto the problem for me please and get me wifi.

    Thank you

Looks like your wireless card on the laptop may not have the proper, or any, drivers. Go into device manager and check if it is installed properly. In the mean time, give more detail on your problem.

    Hi Gambitrox

I feel a bit of a wally. I have sorted it out thanks.
After hours of reading, I found my wifi adapter wasn't turned on. I never knew these things had buttons for that, I had to put a pci card in my old laptop, so never had to do that.

Feel such a fool, but thankyou for your reply.

You shouldn't, I've never seen one with a switch either, that's kind of strange. Good to see you solved your problem.
